Chronicles of Albian

I can download both 1 and 2 parts of the game. When I click on them, a large black box appears on my screen and I have to restart the computer to get rid of it, the game will not come up. On the gametop page comes up, it says I have to pay $2.99 to continue playing the game. Help!?
