Downloads, but when icon clicked, browser window opens and thanks me for playing the game. Game doesn't start.

Magic Academy Stage 17 dragon puzzle in the basement

Is there any way to bypass Magic Academy Stage 17 dragon puzzle in the basement? I have tried multiple times and cannot get it done before time runs out. If it can't be bypassed can the time be extended? Running Windows 10 on HP laptop.and would really like to finish the game.

I liked the game but it has a flaw. It is not in sequence order and you go back to one scene and then another and you are jumping from one scene to another which after a while gets annoying. I will say three and a half stars. (sorry about the spelling of the game)
